“I want my kids to say, ‘My mom did it, so I can do it, too.’” Tianah was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. She doesn’t quite know where her love for the culinary world came from, just that she is hooked on watching cooking shows. Her favorite at the moment are Guy’s Grocery Games and anything with Bobby Flay. “I want to be Bobby Flay one day.” She has two kids, a 10-year-old boy and a soon-to-be 2-year-old girl. While she doesn’t have much experience in the hospitality industry, she is skilled in cooking for her children. “My son loves my hot wings.” Tianah is excited about all the firsts and new things she is learning and experiencing while in class at CCSC. “We made homemade barbeque sauce the other day, and I went home and told my son, and he didn’t believe me! I have to make it for him so he can try it, too.” Tianah says she keeps mostly to herself, focusing only on her kids and her career, what she deems most important. “I’m going to School for my kids. I want my kids to say, ‘My mom did it, so I can do it, too.’” Currently, her son wants to be an architect. “I want him to see his mom following her dreams so he knows he can follow his.”
