Tee

Class 79

“I’m ready to build myself up and put myself on the right path.” Tee was born and raised in Georgia and moved to Charlotte in January of 2025. Growing up, she would watch her grandma in the kitchen – this is where her love of food blossomed. “My grandma was really the only family I had. My parents aren’t in the picture, so it was really just her. She’s an inspiration to me.” Prior to moving to Charlotte, Tee had been homeless for the past two years. Tee’s twin sister, Kam, a Class 77 graduate, brought her here to Charlotte. “Kam is like a mom to me. She brought me here to get me straightened out.” At just 22 years old, Tee has already been working in the hospitality industry for many years. While she is currently employed, she is interested in obtaining a job with career potential. This is when Kam introduced her to CCSC. Tee decided to enroll in Class 79 because it was accessible to her. “With the program being 14 weeks, I can spend less time in school and more time on the job. And with it being tuition free, it was obtainable to me.” Tee’s end goal is to work with homeless or less fortunate children to make sure they are fed. She wants to provide kids on the streets with what she didn’t have growing up. “I’m ready to build myself up and put myself on the right path.”
