“Chase any dream that comes to you.” Born in Iowa, Sheridan made her way to Charlotte a few years ago to be closer to her sister, who is a Huntersville police officer. After high school, Sheridan obtained a degree in psychology and shortly after lost a friend to suicide. After the loss of her friend, she decided that she was not in the right headspace to pursue a career in psychology at that time and turned to another passion of hers, real estate. In September of 2024, Sheridan became a licensed realtor. She isn’t sure that the real estate world is the right fit for her, so she is turning to another passion of hers, cooking. “I really discovered the culinary world in college.” Sheridan says she came to CCSC because it was tuition free and accessible to her. “I came here to open the door, see what’s out there.” After graduation, Sheridan will continue to pursue real estate, saying, “it’s important to finish what you started,” but will also look into other opportunities in the culinary field. “I see pictures of me cooking as a kid, and I think, maybe this is what I was meant to do all along. It’s coming full circle.”
