Shana is from Bronx, NY and is the youngest of five siblings. She currently lives in Charlotte with her one-year-old daughter. Shana has always wanted to learn how to cook. She grew up watching her mom and would always ask her if she could help. After her mom passed away, she moved to Gastonia and eventually lived with her aunt in Charlotte. Her aunt has always coached her throughout her life and encouraged Shana to do something that she would like to do. Throughout the years, she has always gone back and forth with the idea of starting a catering company. She had heard about CCSC online but did not realize that it was a School. She says it has been challenging because she is working full time, going to School, and caring for her daughter, but she is so proud of herself for doing it. She could have easily given up but pushes herself so that she can give her daughter a better life. After Shana graduates, she wants to continue cooking, but she wants to be able to do it on her schedule, so that she always has time for her daughter. Her ideal situation would involve opening a small catering company and doing pickups by appointments only. Welcome to Class 68, Shana!
