“It’s time to get out of my comfort zone and do better.” Sasha was born and raised in Massachusetts and moved to Charlotte on April 1, 2025. “I moved to Charlotte for a change. I want to provide the best for my family. I decided it’s time to get out of my comfort zone and do better, for myself and for them.” Sasha is a single mother to six children, ranging in ages from 2 to 20 years old. She has always loved baking, crediting it to her grandmother, who taught her how to bake when she was nine years old. “I’ve always loved baking, and I want to learn to love cooking, too.” Sasha decided to attend CCSC because the tuition-free program made it accessible to her. “I can’t afford to go (to a school), but I can’t afford not to go.” After graduation, Sasha is looking forward to continuing to gain experience in the hospitality industry, hoping to one day open a pastry shop of her own. “I want to perfect what I do know and learn what I don’t know.”
