Michele

Class 71

Michele is originally from New Jersey, but moved to Charlotte to be with her brother, who was fighting cancer. She comes from a large family of 12, and she’s a proud mom of five, grandma of 15 and great grandma of one. Michele has been cooking since she was 9 years old, and she loves it. She says there is so much joy in cooking, and she prepares everything with love. She enjoys making all kinds of sauces and using chicken because it’s simple and easy to cook. Michele heard about CCSC when Pam, CCSC’s Student Counselor, came to the Salvation Army to talk more about the School and the application process. Michele filled out an application right there and shortly after enrolled. It’s been a great experience, and she says, “The Chefs are pretty nice.” She also appreciates that all the students get along with each other. After she graduates, Michele would love to work in a bakery making her peanut butter cookies and sweet potato pies.
