Maureen

Class 73

“It’s better late than never.” Maureen just recently moved to Charlotte from New Jersey for a fresh start after her divorce from a 30-year marriage. As a recovering alcoholic, she wants to lead by example for her three daughters. Discovering her passion for cooking at 60 years old, she wakes up every day and is grateful for CCSC and the chance it has given her to pursue what she loves. She says, “it’s better late than never.” She is a part of the Mint Hill Women’s Club, a volunteer group that Chef Ron spoke at in 2022. Maureen says that when she heard Chef Ron speak, she knew that God put her in the right place at the right time and knew what her next step in life was. The next day, she applied to be in Class 73. After graduation, Maureen wants to continue to find peace and serenity in her life. Most importantly, she intends to stay in recovery and stay sober. We are lucky to have you, Maureen!
