Kimberly
Class 73
“Peaches and cream? I say peaches and dream.” Kimberly is an Army veteran with 5 years of service to the United States and a resident of Charlotte for almost 30 years. She has always been curious about cooking, and when she saw the opportunity to attend CCSC, she grabbed it and ran, “like I had the winning lottery ticket,” she says, “It starts here, at CCSC.” She is a huge fan of homestyle, traditional cooking. Hint: think of fried chicken, roadside diners, and glass bottle sodas. Kimberly is a southern girl at heart, and this is reflected in her love of food and newfound love for cooking. Kimberly says that you’re never too old to learn new things. Just because she’s getting started later in life, doesn’t mean she can’t follow her heart. When asked what advice she would give to future students, she says it’s important to have fun and, “it doesn’t hurt to step outside of the box.” From our kitchen to yours, welcome Kimberly!
