“It is never too late to start over and embark on a new career.” Diamond was born and raised in New York City, New York. “Way back when at the very beginning, I was in the culinary field, but I’ve worked a lot of jobs at a lot of places since then.” Diamond moved around from the hospitality industry to customer service to even a dispatcher at the NYPD. When she moved to Charlotte in 2021, she decided it was time for a change. “I’m in the process of reinventing myself. I’ve decided to come back to the culinary world.” Diamond says she’s wandered aimlessly for many years because she did not know what she really wanted but says it’s all coming together now. “When I was a kid, instead of watching Disney Channel, I’d watch the Food Network. It’s always been about culinary.” Diamond notes that a big factor for her career shift is the fact that she wants to enjoy what she does, and she enjoys cooking. After graduation, Diamond is looking forward to continuing her education in the health and nutritional field. Her end goal is to create a business that is able to incorporate culinary, wellness, health, and fitness. “I’m very grateful to CCSC. I’m excited for what’s next.”
