A graduate of East Mecklenburg High School, Corey considers Charlotte home. While he’s always enjoyed cooking, his interest in becoming a chef was sparked by a friend’s Facebook post about his recent graduation from CCSC. Corey decided to look into it, and after talking to Victor, he knew CCSC was the place for him. Corey is a huge seafood fan – everything from crab legs to shrimp. Currently, he enjoys preparing various pastas and learning the different knife cuts. He thoroughly enjoyed his CCSC experience, saying he’d learned a lot about timing and working well with others. Corey has three young kids – two boys and a girl. After graduation, he dreamt of eventually running his own food truck serving Creole food, wings and salads. He hopes to learn the logistics of the food truck business by the time he graduates.
