Kelvin is from Fort Bragg, but has been in Charlotte since he was eight years old. His Dad was in the Army, so they lived all over the world ranging from Germany to Georgia. He grew up watching most of his family cook, so he thought maybe it was something he should try. He realized that cooking came easily to him, and he quickly fell in love with it. Kelvin heard about CCSC through his son’s uncle, Tajh, who is an alumni of the School. The whole experience has been really fun and exciting for him. He’s learning to take his time, but to be efficient and act with a sense of urgency. After he graduates, Kelvin wants to get a permit and set up his own food truck or trailer. He plans on selling different plates specializing in smoked foods. Welcome to Class 68, Kelvin!
