“I am moving forward in my life.” Camie was born and raised in Charlotte. Right after high school, she went to college but ended up dropping out three separate times. After realizing college wasn’t the path for her at the time, she went ahead and entered the workforce, but had few useable skills. Determined, she found herself working at a restaurant and realized that she was good at cooking. Living paycheck to paycheck, she wanted to receive qualifications in the culinary industry that would allow her a better paying job in the field she enjoyed. She found out about CCSC through resources at her local library and was excited to be accepted into Class 73. Camie is happy about graduation, getting her certificate, and being on the road to achieving good things in her career. When asked about advice to future students, she says, “Practice, practice, practice.” Well said, Camie!
